Another new design, this time a pencil with a woodpecker as the propellant. I think it's really cute how you have to lift the woodpecker to propel the pencil lead. 
 
I decided to match this with a lovely-figured wood called Red Marlee Burr. A burr (or burl) on a tree is a growth or deformity that typically appears as a rounded, knobby, or warty outgrowth on the trunk, branches, or roots. It forms due to stress or damage caused by factors like injury, infection, insect infestation, or environmental conditions.
 
If this sells, I might make another.. who knows...
 
The pencil comes with an ultra-soft tied velvet pouch to keep it safe and a respectable recycled cardboard box.
